Drs. Lufburrow and Stauffer both served in the United States Armed Forces.
John E. Lufburrow Jr., D.D.S. – Dr. Lufburrow received a B.S. in Biology from Randolph Macon College in Virginia, and his DDS in general dentistry from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in 1976. He graduated from the United States Army General Practice Residency Program in 1977. Dr. Lufburrow has been in Havre de Grace since 1979. He is an active member of the Harford-Cecil Dental Society and has served as past chairman of the Harford-Cecil County Peer Review Committee. He is also an active member of the Maryland State Dental Association, The American Dental Association, Harford-Cecil Implant Study Club, and has been past president of the Harford Dental Study Club. He enjoys golfing and spending time with family.
Ross Stauffer, D.M.D., F.A.G.D. – Dr. Ross Stauffer graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1999. During his dental education, Dr. Stauffer was selected for a U.S. Navy scholarship, and was commissioned in June 1999. He then continued his training at Parris Island, SC, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in 2000. Dr. Stauffer was then stationed at Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan and Little Creek, VA, practicing general dentistry. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 2004. Dr. Stauffer separated from the U.S. Navy in Aug 2005 with an honorable discharge, and has since resided and practiced in Harford County. In 2007, Dr. Stauffer received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor held by only 7% of general dentists.
Dr. Stauffer is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Harford-Cecil Dental Society, Harford-Cecil Implant Study Club and Academy of General Dentistry.
Jennifer A. Patton, D.D.S. – The Doctors and Staff of River Dental are pleased to welcome Dr. Jennifer Patton to our family practice. Dr. Patton comes from Cumberland, Maryland and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Frostburgh State University, with additional graduate level courses in biology. Dr. Patton received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and then completed a General Practice Residency at Baltimore VA Medical Center. Dr. Patton is a member of the American Dental Association. In her spare time Dr. Patton enjoys running, water skiing and wake boarding, fishing, painting and snow skiing.
As of April 2018, Dr. John Jordan announced his retirement after 50 plus years of practicing dentistry. We thank Dr. Jordan for providing dental care for these many years to the Havre de Grace and surrounding communities.
